The Economic Research Service (ERS), a branch of the United States Department of Agriculture, and provides economic analyses in various agricultural areas.  This website contains economic information on potatoes in the form of: market outlook, trade, policy, and United States (US) potato statistics from 1949-1989.  Much of the information here is US-specific.

Foundation Potato Seed Program

This is a program run by Oregon State University and provides high quality, disease-free potato plantlets and minitubers.  The website describes the propagation techniques of the program, clone bank entries, available varieties, as well as ordering information and prices.  There are also links to over 400 potato-related websites.

This website is run by the NVIAA, an organization concerned with the promotion of seed potatoes, ware potatoes, and onions grown in the Netherlands.  There are news articles, press releases, a directory of Dutch seed exporters, as well as a Dutch potato catalog.  The website is also in Dutch and German, and some parts of the website are not completely finished.

REDEPAPA is an online potato network working in conjunction with the Columbian Corporation of Agricultural Research, (spanish acronym CORPOICA), the National Seed Plan of Columbia, the Andean Potato Project, the International Potato Center (spanish acronym CIP), and the Consortium for the Sustainable Development of the Andes (CONDESAN).  This electonic network offers a forum through which information concerning potatoes and agricultural development can be exchanged.

Scottish Crop Research Institute (SCRI)

The Potato Genetics and Breeding unit of the SCRI is mainly interested in studying the genetics of marketable traits, developing better breeding methods, and maintaining the Commonwealth Potato Collection (a genebank containing over 1300 accessions of 86 different potato species).  The Institute offers seed and tuber samples on request, but supplies are limited.
